Information

This session is open to all ages and abilities so no prior tennis experience in needed to participate. Energetic, upbeat music will be played for the full hour whilst you achieve an aerobic, full body workout. We will start off with some dynamic stretching and a simple warm up to get the body ready for exercise. 

 

This will be followed by some Tennis drills where lots of balls are hit, integrating movement into the drill. We will finish with a fun game and a cool down, consisting of simple static stretching and a light jog! if you haven't played Tennis before and dont have a racket, they will be provided. Just make sure to turn up in suitable clothing e.g running/tennis trainers and some form of sports attire. Don't worry about the cold when taking part in the session as you will warm up very quickly. If you participate in other sports, this session can also benefit those sports too! e.g Footballers can benefit from the improved endurance and injury prevention focused exercises! This is just one example but this principle can be applied to many more.

£8 For Members and £10 for Non-Members per Cardio Tennis class! You can either pay in advance or on the day, whichever is easiest. 

 

 

FAQs (Cardio Tennis)

Will I be judged on my fitness ability? I'm worried i wont be able to keep up with the group!

 

All sessions are designed so that you can go at your own pace and slow down if you are struggling. Everyone will be at completely different stages of fitness so there isnt a need to worry about judgement! 

What are the Benefits to me taking this Tennis class?

 

There are so many benefits, not only physical but mental too. If you are a Tennis player gearing up for the upcoming season, this is a perfect opportunity to get some practice in and  build up your consistency. Improving quickness and endurance  on court can be a game changer when it comes to intense rallies! If you aren't a Tennis player or are starting off as a beginner, this class is just as beneficial. Improving your physical longevity and exposing you to a game that has been proved to extend a persons lifespan by a minimum of 7 years!!

I have participated in other sports but have never played Tennis before, will i still be able to do the session?

 

Everyone is welcome to this session, I can guarantee that this class will benefit other sports that you play. Rackets will be provided for the session and guidance on how to hit the ball will be given if you are a beginner!

This years RacketRalph Cardio Tennis session will start on Friday 27th February 18:00 - 19:00 with a new set of drills, exercises and games! Every 8 Weeks, a new google form will be put out with dates on for you to put down availability and book. Here are the following dates...
